We take health seriously; check our socks’ health-friendly credentials!
In order to bring you and the whole community the best socks materials that currently exist in the market at a reasonable price, we had to find manufacturing partners that we could TRUST.
1. "Confidence in Textiles" certificate
EUREKA SOCKS are health-friendly and, most importantly, our manufacturing partners all have the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certificate ("Confidence in textiles"). This is the best known, independent, global certification for textiles tested for harmful substances. Does this make our socks expensive? No! The price point is competitive with socks that are made of non-natural fibres.
About the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certificate: The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system for raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of textile production. The emphasis is on health. For example, all raw and dyed/ finished yarns, finished fabrics and knits, and ready-made articles are tested for harmful substances, including illegal substances, legally regulated substances, and known harmful (but not legally regulated) chemicals.
The requirement for certification of textile products, according to the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, is that all components of an item have to comply with the required criteria without exception – that means sewing threads, linings, dyes etc. are all tested in addition to the outer material.
2. Independent Lab testing
In order to be 100% sure that our socks would pass the test to sell in Hong Kong, Europe and The USA, we engaged the services of an independent laboratory called Asia Inspection, specialists in testing textiles.
Asia Inspection is a quality control and compliance company that provides supplier audits, laboratory testing, and product inspections in Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and South America.
EUREKA SOCKS passed all the tests.
